with Sam. It's a bit too shiny, so it appears to be plated. I unplated steel cent should be a dull silver, not the highly reflective silver your cent shows. Plating considerately lowers value. Still, a nice conversation piece to keep!

I used a USB a microscope with LED lighting for the close up pics, I have re posted the close up pic with a better camera and natural lite.

Interesting. I thought it looked replated at first, too. It's still hard to tell.

When we say magnetic, we don't mean attracted, but the jump towards the magnet attraction.

Always best to remove coins from holders whenever possible before taking photos. Coin looks way too shiny to be "not" a replate. Being a replate makes it PMD.
