The devices on the edges of coins on dollars are incuse. They put one on the edge and altered then hit the coin with a hammer and raised a 'T' on the head. I figured someday someone would do this, and I had that solution figured out years ago when they started the incuse devices on the edge. Now we see one.

For what's it worth, might be wise to post a couple more photos of the area of interest taken from different angles--not too close in. Thanks.

Yes, I'd like to see some close up shots from different angles. That would be very cool to inspect.

The proof is on the reverse. Note how it pushes out/flattens out, opposite that area? PSD.

It's interesting from a damaged coin point of view and how someone took a metal punch and drove it into this coin with a hammer.
To me, the raised circular area on the reverse, opposite the "T", seems to indicate it was some type of metal punch.
I wouldn't buy it since it is PSD/PMD.
