Or maybe it's 290° rotated die lol. Nice find, still no rotated dies worth keeping for me yet. I have seen some 10° or less but not enough to get excited

Nice find Tempted to finally open up this 2000-D Maryland Quarters mint sewn bag. Picture below of mine for the new people who have never seen a mint sewn bag before. There are also some missing clad layer errors and some others reported plus a potential for a high grade although MS67-68 seems to be really only worthwhile for grading.. plus the bag sealed is worth around $40. Quarters at face value after opening $25 to start. Bags can have errors that dont fit normally into rolls but may not have as high grade examples as rolls due to nicks, marks and scratches from being in contact with each other. Generally, bags can get pricey later sometimes when there are known rareties for the specific year that might possibly be found in the bag or when high grade examples sell for very high amounts. Decisions, Decisions...

I bought one of these back in the day. The coin inside were so damaged hitting each other, that it looked like the postman was using the box like a tambourine the whole day he was delivering that day. I decided to buy rolls as the coin were in better condition that way. (even better than mint sets)

Very cool coin; I will now also have to look at my coins for rotated die errors.

Lol thank you guys for all the nice congratulatory comments! This is a pretty old post, but I'm happy that this coin has gotten so much interest from the forum. It's still one of my favorite error coins I've found :)

Congrats again Samcoin.
Love your Monkeyshine images Coop. I got a real nice chuckle from those.
(I found my first major rotated today which I'll post as time allows.)

Make a post of you find anything cool :) Yes that was the intent when I posted and even when I first picked it up I had that thought also. It just happens that the owner of the place I'm leasing from right now has decided to sell the property and therefore wont be able to renew the lease again after the end of November so I'm currently looking for a new location to move by that point. So things are all being packed at the moment and may not have much time to be posting. Most likely not going to pull anything back out such as coins until moved and settled.

@DATA: Hope you find a good location with no fear to be terminated. this it is the worst thing to have. Second: You show the bag. I am sorry to tell you but those bags are not legitim to the Mint. I will look to put here how the coins are ship to the 12 agreed banks. The cents are ship in bags of 1000 Kg with no account how many coins are. |The rest are in numbers. I will post soon with photos and official documents.
