ICG is not known to under grade coins. If anything they are typically spot on or slightly optimistic.

From the http://goccf.com/t/138135 thread, I think this is the ICG 2nd generation holder. As I recall, when ICG first came on the scene the grey sheet had a premium for their graded coins. In all likelihood, I will crack this out and send off to NGC.

There are a few deep gouges on this one, and that likely accounts for the grade. There is a gash from Liberty's right hand and below her right elbow, and another left of the date. The reverse has three smaller gouges, but they are also fairly deep, two west of the eagle's right leg (our visual left) and one east of the arrows. Along with some surface scarring, that's enough to call it a 62.

That said, the coin sure looks nice for the grade. I agree with the upthread comments about ICG's optimism, but this one looks solid for the grade.

I agree with Dave. Often ICG over-grades coins. I bet that the seller purposedly overexposed to photos to hide scratches and dings. Typical of 90+% of ebay sellers. I hope you have return privileges.

Have coin in hand. Sellers photos are accurate. Here are some I took but difficult to capture the semi prooflike mirrors. Obverse marks are very light surface scrapes, not "gouges". Fairly mark free for this issue. Now what do you think, is it an solid MS-62 or ?. Thanks for looking.

Very nice eye appeal and the grade seems solid, even conservative. If I saw this coin in a dealer case I'd want to take a good hard look at it. Seems like a great acquisition, congrats!
