Many thanks to all! Chuck: According to the Lincoln Resource, a 99 Wide AM graded as AU is around $275.00, if this is an abused AU, I agree it should be worth at least a C note, maybe possibly a little more. Definitely the hardest to find and worth the most of the 3 Business Strikes.

I'm still looking too. What's the song say-"our day will come." (I'm trying to believe that.

GREAT FIND!
I've found one 1999, 4 1998's, and something like 13 2000's. But, the 99 makes you catch your breath when you find it! Don't give up; keep looking!
I've got a 44 ounce Speedway cup filled to the top with circulated 2000's to go through when I get a chance, so the 2000 total will probably go up.

coppernickeldaddy: Yeah- I gave it a double-take at first , then I must of turned it over 2 or 3 times to make sure it was a 1999 and not a 1990 or 1993 and then looked at the AM and initials a few times more just to be sure, before I let out with a . I'll still keep looking, but it's really nice to have the "Triplets" I have a real nice pair of 1998 and 2000 Wide AM's- MS 64/65 Grade This coin is going to look great in the middle!

Congrats! Chuckster. I chuckled at your last comment about the double-take and checking and rechecking. That's how I was when I found my first Wide AM and that was only on the more common 2000.

Went through 3000 cents (phew) yesterday. Found 2 1998 Wide AM, 18 Wheaties including 3 from the 30s and a 1943 Steelie, 11 Canada, 1 Bahamas & 3 dimes. Running about 18% copper cents. I still want to scream when I find a 1999 Wide AM. I want it. Gimmie!

Nice chuckster, anyone else notice the wide AMs are getting scarcer ? Haven't found any in the last 40 or 50 thousand coins. Seem to have dried up in my area.

Thanks to all again! MorgansRmine: I agree- they seem harder to find. I found a real nice 2000 (3 Pics below) the day after I found the 99, but prior to these 2 finds, I've gone thru over 15,000 cents a month and went over 4 months without finding ANY 98,99 0r 2000 Wide AM'S. Besides the 99, the 98 seems to be getting much harder to find. I have not found another 98 in almost a year! *2000 Wide AM * Image: 2000WideAmObverse.jpg62.6 KB Image: 2000WideAm.jpg73.07 KB Image: 2000WideAmReverse.jpg67.99 KB

The 1998 and 2000 are very hard to come by. At least for me. I was finding about one per box average. Haven't found one in a couple months. I'm due!
