To bad I can only really afford one roll at a time lol, I'll pick one up on Monday and see what happens I didn't get there in time before they closed today. It would suck if they opened them all for circulating before I got some more.

Thanks for the offer but I have enough of this type, my first suggestion is join the Hamilton club when things get rolling you will meet fellow collectors and learn a lot, get as many rolls you can budget and auction them at the club, win win for everyone

If they hold then for me for another two weeks or if I find an error that can bring a nice premium I'll buy as many as I can. Also do some people deface coins so there is less good condition in circulation? I find alot of quarters and dimes I find from 68-1980+are covered in deep scratches from one side of the rim to the other, like they were scratched with a nail or pin.

I noticed that too! I see it alot on 1968 dimes but I just assumed a roll hunter defaced it so that others would know its not silver.

Must be a thing people do, I thought it only happened in my area lol.

Most of them were probably used in parking meters, vending machines, that is why they are scratched, No normal coin hunter would take the time to scratch every coin.. Know a marker maybe..

I find the machine marks from parking meters etc are usually round, the coins in question all have pretty deep scratches, looks different then parking meter coins. I'll post some of the specific ones I was mentioning, I see them all the time. Though they are older coins so maybe older machines have different mechanics that could cause it. But to me the coins we see look like a sharp point has been pushed into the coin like someone wen crazy and really scratched up the coin lol.

Hi Wrekkdd - where are you located? I'd love one of those rolls if you live close. Thanks very much.

Unfortunately the rolls got all picked up, I pulled some nice condition coins from the rolls I opened haven't decided which ones to keep yet. My friend at the bank found a mint roll of Penny's, tho he's keeping them for him self lol, I could probably buy them off him. I might ask him I didn't check the year. I think I saw the second portrait of the queen, if so there a bit older. I'll check today. Also I'm located in Hamilton ont. If close to you I'll keep my eyes open for more mint rolls.

I got 4 mint rolls of 2021 Toonies today and now I don't know what to do. I opened 2 of then cause the both enders showed the Queen and I was hoping that they would be the Insulin rolls. Alas all 4 are polar bears.

I want to keep them but I have 2 mint rolls of 2012 Toonies (new security) and they have developed toning on the enders and along the edge. I think the toning was from the plastic box that I used to have them in so I moved them to a metal box a few years ago.

Any suggestions on what to do would be welcome.

the shrink wrap rolls, will always tone on the outside coins, I call them the sacrificial coins, as they are the 2 coins that protect all the ones between them..

You can do everything right and the enders will always tone..

Go to your local pharmacy, asked them kindly to save a day or so of the drying tablets that are in the bulk drug bottles, drop a few into your sandwich lock bags problem solved

Ya I stopped at the bank on Friday and they had 2021 rolls but the one they showed both enders showed the queen. So didn't know what kind they were. I might grab one or two on Monday.
