I think it's closer to an AU53/55 than anything, I think PCGS may have given it a MS61 grade though, seen a few AU in MS holders, depending on the slab era.

Just out of curiosity, why did PCGS not recognize the cleaning? In the first set of photos, the coin definitely looks cleaned.
I have seen this circumstance before, and my question applies to all coins in this situation.

Market acceptability. Gerry's photo's tend to exaggerate problems on coins to an extreme. I think it's just a typical hairliney AU.

This is a very nice coin for the grade. I initially thought it was borderline 53/55. With the new pics, I still think it's on the high end of 53. It very well could collect a bean.
