It has to do with your not allowing 3rd party cookies on CCF. Here, I have uploaded the picture a different way again. Click to enlarge.

- Click on site settings.
- Under Permissions, scroll down to 'Insecure content' and set to Allow.
- Reload the page and images should load.
This will only affect CCF. Mixed content will remain blocked on all other sites until you allow it.

Nice addition. A little back story, the obverse was referred to as the tombstone nickel for it's appearance of a wreath draped grave marker. The rays of the reverse were removed since the public associated it to the Confederacy, bars and stars.

Looks like AU details. The surface pitting (if that's what is is) could be ED from salt water exposure or some other adverse environment. Hopefully you didn't pay a problem-free AU price for this coin. On the plus side, the reverse strike looks above average, with nearly full star radials and bar detail.

Jaobler, This coin has luster and cartwheel effect which is pretty neat. On the reverse, the rays put on a little show when tilted under light. My pictures don't do it justice.

Beautiful coin for sure, but shame of the pitting. If grading straight, MS 62 perhaps?
