Frog! I thought you got that new eyeglasses prescription filled.

And yes, it was actually the shape of the 1 in the seller's photos that made me pull the trigger in the end. His photos were not bad at all, and even though taken through the 2x2 quite sharp.

Glad you pick another great one TB. Not taking detailed close photos costs money on pretty much every type of error or variety for sale in my opinion.

Very nice! A handsome example for sure. You considering a slab for this one? I can't recall what your highest grade example is for this variety.

I've been stuck at 65RD for years with this one, but while this will probably tie that at best I will be slabbing it as too nice a coin not to. Only about 15 of these in MS65 or better total, so I'd say that's rare enough air for slabbing.

Would certainly be a top candidate for me. Again, an excellent example you have here, congrats! Hope to see it come back a great grade.

That would be a tough one to pick out of a crowd without good close up images like the ones you've posted here.

Nice pick!

I know I'm new at this, but my eyes caught the shape of the top of the 1 and the 7 in the date. I guessed it was the real deal. Nice find!

I guess I'm the odd one here, the word liberty was the first thing I notice that was rather thick.

Also note the die state. A very early struck coin. The graders don't recognize that. But it is a great find!

Yes sir. I don't even look for these. Being I've got a 64RD but they are incredibly hard to pick! Great score!

Thanks for all the great comments! Rolls of BU 1947 coins are really expensive, so hard to get a lot of them to just paw through, and picking from ebay pics is just so difficult. Either way, makes for a tough one to find in top condition so a winner when you score one for sure.

Really nice example, again, of a tough-to-find DDO. Congrats.
