God I hate TrueView pics. Have you ever seen an honest one?

I still think 66bn is more appropriate in hand though. They've been rough on browns lately on the more common dates.

When you submit coins in a higher year than economy or any with gold shield they get trueview. I personally like it because if you have top pop coins they can potentially make plate coins for the CoinFacts app. It's kinda like bragging rights. I've got a dozen or so on the app.
I also have a super toned 38D like the OP. It's in QC at PCGS atm. I'll post it on here in a few days.

So there's a rating site for stupid images that don't really show the host coin accurately - is that right?

That is a very nice coin KY. I don't want to step on your thread so I will post a more in depth explanation of my reasoning for CoinFacts and PCGS set registry in a future post. It's not all bad pictures of Lincoln's IMO.

I personally think they capture certain aspects such as color better than most photography, not always true, but I assume that also is dependent on which of their photographers are taking the photos as well. I like their photos for toned coin, blast white silver, and red cents, not so much.

I will post now about "True Color". Before took my retirement from health care I wanted to resolve this problem. On line the software work 100%, when the pictures come out always are darker spectrum then normal. The photographers on TPG are really professionals and use very sophisticated cameras. Also them told me they do not understand the changes happened. Return back. I approach developers, the companies of true color software and chips manufactures; and no one can explain or understand this phenomena's. On real time it is OK but photos no. For this reason all TPG DCAM photos will show dark background of coin and not the really color of the in hand coin. We have not to forgot the metal texture of each coin. Sorry, was long, but think will help.
