Yes I agree AU too. I collected Canadian nickels in the 1980s.Got my collection finished and then had some bills to pay and ended up selling the collection. I keep regretting that to this day.I can't believe I collected all those years and gave it up for bills. I was proud of that collection and I don't even want to think of the value today. Good luck in collecting Canadian coins. Love it.

Thanks all,

Found it in a roll today. I thought the nicks and scratches would bring the grading down.

No die crack. Looks like dust or something else. It does not show up under the scope. (same with the mark over the ear)

Terry, me I say hope the TPG will give Au50. In my opinion it is vf, according with the standards. Those old coins has different point of view for them TPG.

Ps: I understand you Terry, but recognize that to day the TPG's go more marketing then real grad. Me I collect designs varieties and believe I submit and then they are lost in space. In Canada if it is not in Charlton is not good what I say; In US if it is not in major error or varieties sites or in this ingrate Cherry Pickers they do not attribute. the market go bad from the point of view of the reality, and we have to adapt.

I agree with not close to an AU. Wear on beaver, Geo's hair, eye socket and nose, as well as lots of circulation marks. It's been deeply cleaned so surface luster destroyed. A nice looking coin, but tops is XF-40 if that.

Thanks for the added comments, They are more inline with what I was expecting. I was still surprised to find this in such good condition CRH.

XF to AU. Would have to see better photos but reverse looks worst than obverse. Hard to say defiantly.

Agree with Terry.. I was shocked so many high grade opinions tbh. VF30-EF40 at best.
