This coin is up for auction and ungraded. I thought it looked pretty good and was trying to determine my price point. Thanks for the grades so far.

Edited for spelling

Small but significant dings behind Lib's neck hold this coin back a bit. Nice luster, well photographed.
Without the dings, I would have agreed with 65, but I am at
MS-64.

I am at MS-65 details cleaned. Major hairlines on the obverse.
Suffering from bust half fever.

I don't see anything that would cause a details grade. Cheek is very clean and the entire portrait is nice and frosty. Reverse looks comparable and overall eye appeal is strong. MS-65 seems like an easy call.

the 84(CC) should be sharp and bold. this one is a tad light around the ear and center of the wings. not a big deal. full unbroken luster. eye appeal is very good and just a few abrasions on both sides.

shes a solid MS65 with a shot at MS65+ or even 66 - really nice example

I would bid up to 65 knowing that it could be higher. I would not chase 66 prices.

Good advice. I think that's the direction I'll take, but it's already approaching 64 money with another thirty hours or so to go. I may get priced out for this one. I thought it was unusually nice.

Thanks, again, to all the CCF experts for their sage advice!

I think that's a solid MS-66 with a shot at 67. Lines on obverse look like die polishing those won't impact grade.

The auction ended while I was away from the computer. This coin went for $500. I think it was a pretty good deal and I would have gone a little higher. Not meant to be I suppose.

Thanks to all for your replies.

worst case the coin is MS65 so $500 is more like 64 $$ plus the fact that this coin has good eye appeal as well and could come in as 66 I think it was a steal. CC's like this are only going to go up in value

Don't know how I missed this one, but studying it I think most people are right at MS65. I don't think it makes MS66.
