I would have left it in the PCI holder.

PCI is known as a basement slabber so their opinion doesn't hold much water. They are not recognized by ebay and any coin listed in one of their holders must have the grade blocked out. Taking it out of the slab and resending it to a reputable grader will give a more accurate grade.

AU details cleaned. Annoying, because the reverse is stunning.

You are spot on with UNC Details Obverse cleaned. Maybe you will get lucky and ANACS will call it market acceptable and straight grade.

Thanks any AU straight grade would be peachy ask price was 260.00 I balked offered 200 tops only because of reverse type 1. $150 would have been better maybe it will come back AU original but obverse is pretty dull. Will post results in 5-6 weeks.

Tough call but I'd go UNC Details. I'll be curious to see what ANACS says. Did you ask for attribution on the TDR?
NGC says in part "There is no great difference in rarity between the two subtypes, as the nominally scarcer Type 1 was the more likely to be saved for the simple reason that it was the first one encountered by a curious public." However, I found that Type 1 was more difficult to acquire, perhaps because collectors hang onto them. PCGS doesn't even mention the two reverse types, that I can find. For reference, I paid $188 for the AU58 posted in your other thread.

Not requesting attribution for type I or the TDR I'm figuring out the TDR is pretty common hard to see unless out of a slab and 1/3 the 1892 are some sort of TDR or DDR. Not dising it as I love all barbers its staying in my personal series set have plenty of closeups to reminisce on. Cleaned or straight am ok with these things just bedazzle me silly in higher grade. It went out today economy with some Barber halves ANACS is shipping at 28-33 days on economy and last 3 shipments averaged 35 days from mailbox back to mailbox yay ANACS

Maybe you can grease their palm and ask them to straight grade it .

Obverse friction on the face, luster on the reverse looks artificial. AU-58 details, cleaned.

These 2 look like ANACS called them out LOL. Many of you called them spot on and most were dang close. I was on a roll with picking: dimes quarters halfs barbers raw that straight graded and pow! a wake up fantasy time over reality grades. Good learning curve experience a reminder to slowdown and learn more about higher grade barbers and pass on questionable examples. Their attractive coins but their problem coins and my cockiness cost me a hundred bucks. The value for these 2 is in my collection and for the experience. monetarywise I blew it. This is why sometimes I think "the forum...the forum read the forum". Barber fanatics I'm cutting my eye teeth here and man I love those Barbers.
