I thought struck through but I've never seen that effect the reverse like this. I have way better pictures but they don't fit and I'm having lots of fun trying to shrink them

If this were to be a strike through on both sides at the same location of the coin, it would be incredible, But I think that this is something someone tried to make it look like an error. PMD in a vise and ,I dunno a wad of dirt or grease to indent it.

Thanks you all, it's incused on both sides without showing the zinc core or raising the plating. I may take the plunge and send it to one of those Diamond Potter guys

Not sure what a diamond potter guy is, but I agree with the others that it looks like it got/was squished from either side of the coin. If you can post better pics, the smart folks above can probably give you the 99% answer.

I was referring to Mike Diamond,Ken Potter. I'm in no way discrediting the people here and I will try posting better pictures... I've never had such a hard time posting pictures, probably just need to feel it out.

Well, I would be very happy to be proved wrong and find out that you have a double-sided planchet flaw. That would be a pretty awesome find!
Please follow up with us here if you get feedback them. Thx.

I wouldn't come back with "oh you were wrong" I tried to email you pictures and I guess that's not a option either. I find the photo optimizer difficult to use.

D2D2, I use a free app called JPG Image Size Reducer after editing my photos. It is quite simple when compared to the optimizer. Select the image from your files and select "Custom KB". Enter 300 . That's it! Check it out. I had great difficulty with the image optimizer and this app makes it a breeze

I want to say PMD for this one due to the fact it seems to match up on both sides like it was squeezed, the weird thing is I see no obviouse signs of exposed zinc which makes me think some kind of planchet error possibly. I'll wait to see what the pros say.

Why couldn't this be struck through a large glob of grease that was transferred between dies?
