I have around 200 and since I'm a variety collector, most are 1878, 1880, 1888, 1891, 1900 and 1921-D. I would guess around 60% are BU with a few in PCGS slabs 65 and 66. I really have no interest in the keys of the series or CC's so that makes me a Morgan Oddball. My passion is finding a variety with less than 10 known specimens and paying just a bit over melt.

I share your affinity for Morgan's...back in the 60's I had about 30-40 unc raw coins, sold them during some hard times, started back about a two years ago and have about a dozen all BU raw coins that have full feathers and hair with minimum (almost no) bag marks. No graded coins. I love all large silver coins about the size of the Morgan.
Have a complete set (one) of the M. Theresa Thalers!
One large silver coin from china, a few from other countries.
Would love to be able to put together a complete set of Morgan's in the highest grade I could afford..there are a few I definitely would only be able to dream about.
had a GSA CC stolen from me, discovered about two years ago when I went back to collecting, went to look at it and it was gone from the box I had it in...could have happened sometime in the previous 10 years because I hadn't looked at it since then. (sad face)

I have 128. 48 are 21. I got all mine a few years back when a friend needed money. Bought all of them at $5.00 each. Also about 50 Peace. No picking, just had to buy all or nothing.

Make that eleven, not ten. I forgot the MS-65 1881-S in my 7070 album.

46 at the moment, with another on the way. About a dozen of them are '21. No MS-65s or better, I just can't pay the premium for that extra point. One circulated CC, just because I felt I needed one. Sort of a random collection of ones I couldn't pass up at the time (like most of my coins)

PennehChaos, your sig is to die for. Volatile and thinly capitalized, indeed. Oddly enough for an over-the-top Morgan fanboi like myself, I only have a couple dozen, mostly 1921's. I was up to a couple hundred at one point, but had to liquidate them to help put a lawyer's kids thru college.

Half a dozen here, too. I love a 'clean' Morgan. By clean I am referring to Liberty's cheek and the field, I dislike anything marring those surfaces. I am quirky, not twitchy.

I have 3 total. An 1890 no mint mark AU, an 1896 no mint mark choice brilliant uncirc, and an 1884 CC I got in the mail today from my father in laws collection, it's in the GSA presentation box. I like the looks of all the old coins, specially the Peace and Morgan dollars, the Standing Lib Quarters, the Walking Liberty dollars I tried to post a pic but I keep getting an error message about the filename.

I won't even mention how many Morgans are in my collection but I will say I have allot of coins and most that are not in my Dansco7070 album are Morgans and most are from the year of 1878. I will also tell you I have an almost complete set (missing a few key coins for this date) of known 1878 Morgan VAM's and there are over 200 just for the 1878-P Morgans not to mention the ones from San Fransisco of that year. I don't like the look of circulated coins so if they are available in Uncirculated condition that is what I always look for and usually purchase when I find a specific coin I am looking for. Some people prefer circulated coins because they like to think about who held the coin and think about what it could have bought when it was spent just my preference is Uncirculated
