markapsolon Valued Member United States 207 Posts	Posted 02/16/2009 1:35 pm Honestly I think American eagles are one of the modern bullion coins that you should buy ungraded. Most of them are in great shape right out of the tube and would be a 67 to 70. The non-tubed mint packaged eagles are normally even in better shape. I can not say I do not have one or two early release eagle slabs ..lol but if I could go back I probably would have just bought them raw. It will save you money instead of paying the overpriced slabbed ones, but that is just my opinion. :) Report this Post to the Staff
