The fields are in nice condition . I'm not that familiar with the high wear points but most seem to be at the breast of the bird wearing feathers .

ExF 45 shot AU 50 .
Not really worth grading with all the costs involved .

Easy XF-45, I could see an AU50. Value-wise, it would be worth the money to grade but you wouldn't profit much after selling. I suggest keeping it raw, its a great piece. Very nice!

I think it probably makes AU-50. I would not grade it.

Falls a bit short of AU in my opinion. Has definitely been cleaned, enough to hurt the value. I wouldn't spend money to have it graded.
If you want a certified example I'd sell this one and buy one already slabbed.

i think it makes AU50. personally I would keep it and I would not slab it. there really is no reason to unless you are looking to sell it. consider the costs to slab it. minimum $69 membership to PCGS. $22 fee to grade plus shipping both ways. doesn't make sense. at XF45 the coin is about $160 at AU50 maybe $220. flying eagles will continue to increase of the years

The color looks too pale and washed-out, especially in the first set of photos. The dark spots and stains in crevices and around date and legend are pretty good indicators that a cleaning attempt was made. The fields ended up basically dirt-free but foreign material remained lodged in the less-accessible areas. At least, that's my opinion.

i think it was just the lighting in the first set of photos was washing out the surfaces

ANACS or ICG is an option for this one with little downside.
