Best to remove it from the holder first. Do you see how the plastic obscures the detail?

Much better. Hair and bust line details still not sharp. I'll venture a grade of VF-35.

I don't think this coin would straight grade due to the cleaning. If it did it would be net graded down at least 5 points (maybe even 10), so if it straight graded I guess VF30. It's really more like an XF Details - Improperly Cleaned coin.

looking closely at the original reverse photo although blurry it appears that there are multiple dings in the surfaces above and around HA. one to the right of F in OF and larger one on the I in DIME. there are few minor ones on the obverse. I think there is sufficient numbers of these to details the coin
i'll change my grade from VF35 to VF35 details
