Are the photos good enough for an opinion? Thanks

yes the photos are fine. Nice key date/mint coins too. That 14-D is in great shape, in fact, I'm liking all of these. Wait for grading experts to have a gander at these - they will give you a good idea of that you have.

No doubt in my mind that these keys should be sold individually.

At this point, those are nice examples. Selling individually should work very well.

Appreciate all the input. It's going to be tough breaking up the set. There are a bunch of other really nice mint and error coins in the binders. One of the things that concerns me is the fact that I have a very nice 1931 S listed on ebay with OBO... 2 views and no watches. On well.. Thanks again...I'll give the matter some thought.

Selling sets with the key dates like you have in the wild will be a mistake. In general no one sell the key dates in sets. Your coins a OK but not the best I see in my life. So conclusion: Key dates sell separately..

Interesting topic... I am at the stage where I want to sell off my completed sets. I did sell a couple of complete sets at a local show over the weekend. Was interesting in that most dealers want the keys, but if you sell the key coins in the set you are left with most of a set you almost have to give away at low ball prices. It is difficult to say what is best to do. If you try to sell the set, the price of the keys seems to be lowered to accommodate the rest of the purchase. My Lincoln set is UNC back to the late 20s and the 09 S VDB is certified @ 64 RB. Told interested dealers it all goes as a set. I am choosing not to split it up. Good luck to the OP on your selling decision.....

to the CCF The key dates you have shown so far are indeed worthy of an individual sale - but as suggested above that leaves the remaining coins as 'orphans' looking for homes at reduced prices.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

I really do appreciate all the advise, comments and suggestions from everybody. Because the set has mostly BU uncirculated coins and some very unusual error pennies along with the really nice key dates, I think there may be someone new to the hobby (or current collector) who sees this collection as a great start into the hobby with the opportunity to continue from 1973 to present. If that doesn't pan out, I'll go from there. At 81 years, it's sometimes hard to make simple decisions!!!! I sure am glad I subscribed to CCF.

Indifferent of your age, is good to think for the new generation. I have only one problem here.!: Quote: some very unusual error pennies along with the really nice key dates If we want the young's come see the beauty of this hobby, or we show what is error, variety or key date to find and wish OR we just do not care about. I almost made sets and give to children's on weeks base and then I show some rarities so like this they are more interested to discover. IMHO.

If that doesn't pan out, I'll go from there. You have nothing to lose for trying to sell this as a set on your terms and at your price. As long as you are prepared to not make the sale right away (or at all), then go for it.
