I'm good with XF45-AU50. Maybe it was from Grandma's collection. Heck, I've intentionally dropped dozens of VF or better early wheat cents into circulation over time--no key or semi-key dates, however.

I think this is at least AU50. Looks almost entirely free of nicks and other marks, too.

Gosh, 106 years and in circulation (again?). I haven't seen a Wheat cent in change for years. Seems mid-AU to me.

Judging by the condition, I would assume that
this coin has not been in circulation for almost all of it's existence.

An old collector's cull ?

w/the comments that this coin was in someones collection for most of its life. you just dont find coins like this in circulation

AU53 probably in the $35 range. nice find. I guess theres still some coins floating around that have some value just gotta keep your eyes peeled

Actually, I was wrong. It was a 1918-S that I found in my change, about F-12. I picked this up on ebay for $6.50. Duh.
