Thanks for the heads up, everything came up today. I've been waiting impatiently for the rolls. I really like most of the reverse designs, but I'm not a fan of the obverse design. Also the 3 coin set designs aren't my favorites.

Does anyone know the mintage of the $2 Special Wrap Roll? I received conflicting information: RCM says the mintage is unlimited, while CC&C says the mintage is 30,000.

I was gioing to order the "2022 $20 The Imperial State Crown - Pure Silver Coin" @$159, and then found out that 99.99 Pure Silver is not really "pure silver" and the price jumped up another $24. Sorry, but $185 for 1 oz of silver and a few glass beads isn't worth it. Maybe down the road it will be available on the secondary market for a more reasonable price.

Mikem said: Quote: 99.99 is not really pure silver As far as the tax man is concerned - any silver coin, 99.99% will be considered as 'Fine' or 'Pure' silver, and will be free of HST and/or PST. Sterling silver coins are 92.5%, which you may be thinking of, are treated differently, and taxes are applied. Also, when 'attachments' change the fineness substantially below 99.99%, then taxes are applied.

@mikem: As you encountered, pure silver coins (i.e., 99.99% silver planchets) embellished with non-precious metal accents (e.g., coloured glass) are considered to be less than pure and thus no longer qualify for the tax break.

Quote: I also liked the Special Edition Proof Silver Dollar. The mintage is reasonable at 15,000. However, the price increased by $15 from last year. The SD price (so far) is the same as 2022. The $84.95 is for gold plating on both sides of the coin, and the last single edition gold plated SD was the 2018 WW1 Armistice 100th Anniversary SE SD. Cheers!

The 2018 Armistice Silver Dollar looked great.
I really liked the design at that time. But I didn't buy it due to the large mintage. Now I'm unable to find one at issue price.

Not so fast... here in BC, we get to contribute 7% PST to the provincial coffers for any NCLT... Bullion... you are correct, no PST but premium priced and sold as collectible will fall into the net of the provincial tax man regardless of the purity of the metal. Goes for gold as well.
