@Dcadon I can't find the two items you mentioned being available. Are they not available to order yet? or are they only available at a higher level so far? Thanks.

I got the brochure today, and my first question to my rep will be - Why mail this out, if things aren't on the web-site yet? As I said, as I was reading along, it seemed like a very jumbled mess of available, coming soon, and pre-order now.

i think RCM is trying to figure out the demand with pre-orders before issuing mintages. i, too, found the email I received from my rep confusing? do all the queen's new releases come in custom packaging? Also, there are two new coins: 5 ounce high relief silver coin with three maple leaves and "Bird Box" kilo? coin which is really beautiful but out of my price range.

Thanks for the list. I liked the design of 1-oz Imperial State Crown. However, the $160 coin has a large mintage of 8,000. RCM pricing strategy seems similar to last year's Unexplained Phenomena: a great design with a greater mintage increase. My verdict: this coin won't sell out soon but will sell out eventually after a few months. I also liked the Special Edition Proof Silver Dollar. The mintage is reasonable at 15,000. However, the price increased by $15 from last year. The 2-oz gold Imperial State Crown is the most stunning piece. Priced at $8,260, it's already sold at both RCM and CC&C.

Thanks @dcadon for the update posting. One question though... you tag this as a Mid-January... this is the correct timing for the February release... With MC advance notice of a week, general availability will be next week... Jan31/Feb1. Quote: I can't find the two items you mentioned being available. Are they not available to order yet? or are they only available at a higher level so far? I am MC-Diamond and all of the January order and pre-order items are available online when I log in... they are invisible when I am not logged in. They will release over the next week per your MC level. As of this moment, the $300 1oz Platinum cypher and the $250 2oz Gold Imperial Crown are Awaiting Stock. Regarding the Collectors Edition Non-Circulation Set... I theorize that this will be the last set that shows QEII and that the regular annual set will be released in May or later with KCIII obverse. I will buy this... because this set is part of my annual OCD appeasement but I really dislike the tag "Collectors Edition" because it is my experience that this marketing tag usually represents a product that is anything but appealing to "Collectors". I know... NCLT is all that way but this is akin to "Double Secret Undesirable Naming" with apologies to National Lampoon.

I've edited the list to include the weight 1/2 oz for the $34.95 coin and 'Awaiting stock' on the 2-ounce. I am a Platinum Plus, and can see the products today (jan. 24), however nothing yet showing for the coming soon items.

I didn't get the printed brochure... I don't live in a major center and the printed materials are usually a few days later. The email I received was not as precise so it could have been either... If it is a special release.. then we will know in a few days. That said, I think it will be a non-standard year as the January release only had a SD and not the Premium proof set or non-circulated set as is customary.
The $34.95 coin with FV of $5 is listed online as a 1/4 oz and 27mm in size. It may be that there is a discrepancy between online and printed.

I like the obverse of the Imperial State Crown SD with its four historical effigies of QEII, selectively gold-plated, but I think the over-sized typeface used for "CANADA" on the coin's reverse is overbearing and distracting. A slightly smaller font selection would have worked fine and been more tasteful (IMO).

Thanks for the heads up, everything came up today. I've been waiting impatiently for the rolls. I really like most of the reverse designs, but I'm not a fan of the obverse design. Also the 3 coin set designs aren't my favorites.

Does anyone know the mintage of the $2 Special Wrap Roll? I received conflicting information: RCM says the mintage is unlimited, while CC&C says the mintage is 30,000.

I was gioing to order the "2022 $20 The Imperial State Crown - Pure Silver Coin" @$159, and then found out that 99.99 Pure Silver is not really "pure silver" and the price jumped up another $24. Sorry, but $185 for 1 oz of silver and a few glass beads isn't worth it. Maybe down the road it will be available on the secondary market for a more reasonable price.

Mikem said: Quote: 99.99 is not really pure silver As far as the tax man is concerned - any silver coin, 99.99% will be considered as 'Fine' or 'Pure' silver, and will be free of HST and/or PST. Sterling silver coins are 92.5%, which you may be thinking of, are treated differently, and taxes are applied. Also, when 'attachments' change the fineness substantially below 99.99%, then taxes are applied.
