Nope you cannot delete a topic once someone adds a reply. But that's ok. But that Oddguy got it - it is a stain from another coin that was on top of this one, maybe in a cup holder in a car for instance.

I'm not using screen shot. The only way I can take a picture is just using my phone camera. Then I have to crop the pics to get it reduced to the size limit. Scope is not hooked up to internet and my phone is one of those free phone which doesn't have any ports for SD card. This is the way I have been doing it since I got the scope. I don't even have PC to take a screenshot.

Yeah that would be great if I had that phone. I'm on SSI and I'm broke all the time and have to use this free phone with zero bells and whistles. I got the scope when I got my back pay from SSI and get boxes of pennies and go through them because I'm not out the money I just take them back. This is the only way I can do it. I post many pictures on different Facebook groups and none of them have ever had a problem. What is the big deal

If you want to spend some time training your eyes, check out on the sticky section (Top box on the forum page on the "Modern Variety: Section and look at the link there CoopHome: )).jpg) You can train your eyes on what to for in your searches. It always explains what you are seeing. So then next time you will know if you have something or to move on to the next coin. Start on the last pages first. This has the topics in green so you can know what you are going to find out on those pages. Lots of information, but then you will know what your are seeing and whether to move on to the next coin, or keep a coin that has a premium. Training your eyes to search for something specific helps save time. (Just part of my life's work)

I don't know where the term originated from. But it's been around for as long as I remember. 58 years old. Probably bcuz of the coin rolling machine circular scratches on coin that hit the head of the person on the coin.

It's pretty much common knowledge and nothing new. You must be new to this whole thing.

@Satchmo64: Quote: It's pretty much common knowledge and nothing new. You must be new to this whole thing. I wish you to be new like me. No offence here. But sorry I do not accept corner street numismatic words. Thank you for your sincerity and the power to say what you see and think. This not offend happened here. All my best, Silvio PS: if you want to challenge me on terminology, be welcome. Many users will learn about rhetoric, abstract old terminology and the real one. As Mike say: ATTROCITIES. or Ken and Bowers: Limit borders minds.

This roll end 1973-D LWC somewhat demonstrates the "circle of death".
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
