Thad, I could be wrong about this one but the majority of the 68's have been deemed to be Doubled Working Hubs. This one looks spot on for it. Got a few myself.

Makecents makes sense. It is true that most of the dies shown on VV for that year are not doubled dies but from a doubled working hub, which is why they all look alike but have different die markers. They are pretty nice-looking though.

So many of these have different mintmark placements, but yet the working hub doubling is present on them. Some sites still list them, but they are not doubled die, they are doubled working hubs. When searching for these I noticed that a long time ago. Mentioned it to John Wexler and he agreed.

Thad, take a look at 1do005 on http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php I see the die scratch from the forehead to the U and the one above the date.

Very old Canon SD700IS, you can sometimes find them on ebay for about $50.

Don't forget lighting, it's just as important as the camera. This is my primary light.

@BadThat can you send me a private message with a photo on how you do it please, because and using a light but can take as clear as yours, I really need to learn it, because I go through many coins and as I can't see anything I put every coin back to the roll and drop to the bank, and I think I could do better than just look for errors. I love the doubled dies, and is my wish to find a really nice one.
And thank you for the link, and going to look at it.

Note: apologies for my english, I know is not that good.

You'd have to send me one because you PM is turned off.

My setup is VERY simple. That cam, that light and white piece of copy paper. I take all my pictures free hand and use the 4X optical zoom, 3.2X is my usual setting - 4x for closer stuff. I use no post processing other than to crop and resize to ~1000x1000 pix and I'm done.

There is no magic, just camera and lighting with a proper white balance calibration.

I like this one but don't know whether it's MDD or not.

Is this a case of working hub doubling or nothing at all? I know it has been very circulated, but some places looks like more than MD. What do you see this coin as? Opinions on this please.
