The visual appearance of the D is a classic example of Pareidolia. Click the hyperlink to read about it.

I appreciate the reference's provided but.... No this has a D with perfect italic serifs inside visible from a coin loop. ( Pareidolia makes an appearance like a mirage or the Mars face).
I am unable to transfer the image from my digital microscope other than what I have provided so far. I'm waiting to be able to send it out to be researched.

Zinc blister. There is no such thing as a "tiny D".

I guess that's a great explanation for the coloring on the photo. I'm gathering ideas together ( great one's at that )

I now know to pay for Imaging services that can show off that D inside the Zinc blister it's smaller than a D on a Denver Strike (Hence why I called it a "Little D" ), and if you notice it's in a spot behind the 9 that is different from Denver strike as well.. Thanks for the Input I cant wait to post the Imaging service shot.. Now I'm just in a Dilemma.. which of the Top 3 TPG's should I use?
Personally I'm going to lean towards ANACS research and verfication. Not a Co. Ad just saying don't we All carefully consider where we go for Error Research?

The locations on the post 1990 coins are part of the design on the dies. So it will be the same location on all the coins that year in the same place. Note that on your coin the location/shape and level with surface, doesn't make it a mintmark. Just a stain on the surface of the coin.

You have been given free advice here from some world class experts that this is nothing more than a stain or zinc blister. The value of that cent is 1 cent.

If you feel strongly otherwise and are compelled to spend money to get the same answer from a TPG then I suggest ANACS as they will consume the least of the money you are about to throw away.

Random Nature created zinc "Blob" .. I'm still sending it off.. Once it is viewed in a Loop it is clearly no random blob. It seems this has not been come across as of yet.

Make sure you come back with the coin in a TPG holder, that way you can tell us all that you are right, and the centuries of experience here were all wrong.

How is anything "thrown away" when there are NO other examples? it's only worth 1 cent and it's the Only 1 you have seen?
Ok.. I only come here because it was supposed to be a place to show examples of things not supposed to be seen on Govt striked coins.
I only came here to see if ANYONE has seen this before and Apparently None have pipe up yet...
Instead of belittling the ONLY thing that keeps error channels open, When all someone who is new to your channel is Doing is showing AN ERROR NO ONE ELSE CAN EXPLAIN.
