Agree, I'm seeing a die chip in the 9.. Wonder what the reverse looks like? I'm curious because Wheat cent reverses are known for die cracks and die chips,

with die chip. Having full & in focus pics allows others to fully examine and look for specific makers left by the die. Look at http://www.traildies.com/ to see what this means. Dclee78!

Sorry for my mistakes and thanks for y'all's patience. So a Die Chip is nothing special? Asking cause I have no idea, just started getting into coins.

Quote: So a Die Chip is nothing special? No, they are quit common and are considered part of the minting process, not an error.

Thanks and the way I'm looking at it is my first coin I posted was altered in a vise and this coin, even though not an error, maybe this was the coin that chipped the die

Allow my incorrect statement to be chualked up to learning. In any case, understanding this aspect does no harm. At least to this engineering mind that thrives on details. Glad you called that out John LOL

Die chips are a dime a dozen, and can be found on almost every coin.

to the CCF and As stated above die chips are just an event that happens to the die throughout it's life. If you like them save them. Collect what you want.

The full coin images provided show a 1959 D with a Wheat cent reverse, if it is in fact the reverse of that coin. Now that would be quite something else.

Can you take a mirror shot of that 1959 D with the wheat reverse?

The original photo shows a 1958 Lincoln obverse. The second set shows a 1959 Lincoln obverse. Obviously the OP has loaded the wrong obverse photo.
