I'll say MS-60 or perhaps 61.

Too hard to tell from the photos, but may want to check for any of the 80/79 overdates according to vamworld.com. Fairly nice premium on those I think. with a general consensus of probably low mint state...

If this is Unc then I won't go higher than MS60, that obverse is wrecked.

1880-O is definitely a date which carries a premium in any Uncirculated grade, but I'd not want to slab this.

edit: it's a medium O, not a small O, so the only 8/7 overdate for Medium O is VAM 5, and at least in these photos I don't see the big die chip in the upper loop of the 2nd 8 that is on all VAM 5's.

MS60/61, can't see that obverse bringing any more than that. I'd keep it raw, really only worth slabbing in MS63 on up.

MS62. I'm with Ty2020b regarding slabbing not worth it unless its 63 or higher. the chances this coin would grade at that is zippo

Too baggy for me to get above MS-61.

With hands-on, if you see an increase in the overall value, more than $100-$150, based upon your investment, then go ahead and have her slabbed. But, don't be surprised if the grade isn't any higher than a low MS. The obverse shouldn't take her any higher.

looks like CCF has assessed this coin between AU58 and MS62. take it for what its worth.

its borderline if you want to slab it. you're looking at maybe $200 full retail.

there are really only 2 reasons to slab a coin

1. authenticate a rarer coin
2. the value of the coin is over $150 and you are considering selling it

other than that just encapsulate it in an airtight or put it in an album to fill a slot.

I'm with you all, I have her about MS61/62, only if there was an overwhelming support at 63 would I even take a shot. It is nicer in hand than the pictures (I honestly thought it was mis-marked as an O on the flip looking at the obverse due to the amazing cartwheel, I would have bet my bottom dollar it was an S!), but still too baggy to get there. Thanks for all of your input!

MS61 works for me. Wouldn't mind having a large bucket of 'em.
