RPMs in images above. Some have a match, others don't at this time. They would need to be compared with coins on coppercoins.com/ to see if there is a match. The tilted ones make it harder to find matches for. Spread/Location/Markers in that order make a determination for RPMs.
Looks like 1940D-1MM-001
1958-D unknown to me now.
1957D-1MM-003
Same as the other one.
#4 date unknown. Maybe 1956D-1MM-004?
1956D-1MM-001
1956-D unknown to me now.
1954S-1MM-004
1953D-1MM-001

Hi,

I'm such a newbie! Can you please tell me what is going on with the second picture, the 1958d. Thanks!

Hi Free2bme,
look at the upper serif on the D, there is a slight separation(notch) indicating a repunched mint mark(RPM)

Nice catches, especially on that 1936 DDO.

You're driving me nuts with those:-) You have some of the best luck I've ever seen. For those of you who want to see what real RPMs look like, memorize those pictures:-)

The pictures exhibit the things we especially look for on RPMs. Plant those images of distinct separations on those mintmarks firmly in your minds and you should always be able to tell the difference between these, Machine Doubling, split plating, and Die Deterioration Doubling!

Nice Pictures and very nice coins! Thanks for posting them.

Bill

PS: It could be the photo, but the 1958 D looks like it could be a doubled die.

See if this helps to understand RPMs a little better?
