Quote: The GOLD version is technically a coin as it has a denominated value of 100$. The SILVER version is technically a medal as it is not denominated. Yes, indeed. My reference to not usually buying medals was only in regard to the silver and not the gold.

Very nice medals! Thanks for posting images! It's nice to see folks get excited about something other than a "coin."

No rim finning like the 2022? That's good!

Finning of course, hoped the mint would do better. I kept my 2022 with finning, no damage on surface, designs and fields are good so did not send it back.

That 2021 would be hard to turn back from, was a great sell out. I could still probably get a replacement on this. Man with everything else going on from the mint this year, it's beginning to look like just getting a refund is the way to go. I wouldn't be saying this is the coin was problem free. For an about $900 premium, a buyer should expect a perfect coin.

I received an updated silver medal COA from the Mint this weekend. I did not even realize the error on the original, where inside it referred to the medal as a coin.

I did as well, jbuck. Interesting thing is that I bought two silver medals. Yet I only received one replacement CoA. Must be that I have one coin and one medal!!

On August 15th, Krause Publications "Coin of the Year" awards were announced. The 2023 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin received "Coin of the Year" and "Best Gold Coin." The Mint put out a press release which can be viewed here: https://www.usmint.gov/news/inside-...ir-of-money. I have the Silver medal version. One of my favorite items.
