We'll need a reverse picture and a closeup of the ear. On the obverse, I see Ridge Ring, which is Die Deterioration, from the die getting worn.
Errers and Varietys.

to the CCF

We need a photo of the reverse to offer views on the claim of Close AM.

The image tag for the reverse had an error. I corrected it. Go back to the top of this topic to see it.

And please be nice to our new members! That is an order!

I would say no to double ear. No also to Wide AM from what I can tell from the font and the letters in STATES (width between TAT).

Some are, some are not. I did not want to put individual(s) on front street so I issued a general warning.

But I will say this... I find it interesting that no one noticed the link to the reverse image! It only failed to display because the [img][/img] tag had a typo!

The TL;DR on diagnosing a Close AM vs. Wide AM penny: we need a good pic of AMER and also the FG designer initials at the bottom right of the memorial.

That tag line didn't show up on my browser - If it had I would have fixed it and put it on my post.. weird.

At any rate, I cannot tell from the reverse image by looking at the AM only and the FG is in the dark, Focus or glare is messing up the image a bit, However the 'A' in States looks centered - making this a WAM cent.

Well, learned a new one today. Thanks, Dearborn. Although, that is a subtle difference compared to the AME spacing and the hooked and close FG.

Sorry, I meant No to Close AM. The same width between T_A_T in STATES is telling me Wide AM - normal for 1992.
