We'll need a reverse picture and a closeup of the ear. On the obverse, I see Ridge Ring, which is Die Deterioration, from the die getting worn. Errers and Varietys.

I would say no to double ear. No also to Wide AM from what I can tell from the font and the letters in STATES (width between TAT). |

Some are, some are not. I did not want to put individual(s) on front street so I issued a general warning.  But I will say this... I find it interesting that no one noticed the link to the reverse image! It only failed to display because the [im g][/im g] tag had a typo!  |

The TL;DR on diagnosing a Close AM vs. Wide AM penny: we need a good pic of AMER and also the FG designer initials at the bottom right of the memorial. |

At any rate, I cannot tell from the reverse image by looking at the AM only and the FG is in the dark, Focus or glare is messing up the image a bit, However the 'A' in States looks centered - making this a WAM cent. Edited by Dearborn
