Of course, someone just had to ask the seller if he has any "P" Mint coins, when the seller's location is in Denver and the coins are stated to be in original Denver Mint bags and boxes...

For the record: you can get plenty of "P" Mint coins at the Denver Mint, but they'll be Uncirculated, Proofs, Commemoratives, etc. (no business strike "P"'s)

View his listings...he has TWO of those lots for sale. And the same bidder placed a bid on both.

And the seller has absolutely NO feedback as a seller? And how in the world does someone use paypal for fork over $85K?

Quite odd.

steve199, I only see ONE listing. It looks like two, but it's duplicated because feature plus listings show up twice.

I didn't realize it's only Denver, but I see that now.

Of course you are correct! He doesn't have that many of those quarters after all.

And this guy has never sold anything, only purchased. But in order to place a bid of $15,000 or more on ebay, you have to provide a valid ccard and pay $5 to go through the ID verification process.

Either the bidder is a shill or a really trusting buyer with $$$ to gamble.

The sellers preferred method of shipping over $80,000 worth of merchandise is Priority Mail (10-14 bus days) with no insurance

Oh, and another silly fact is that if the buyer would have to NET approximately $21 a set of these D mint only sets just to break even. And that's not including the sales tax and special shipping arrangements this guy is going to have to spring for just to get the sets...and that is selling every last set. And the last time I checked ebay was flooded with these sets that aren't moving. This guy would do better by investing that $84k in a CD or something and collecting interest than this time and labor consuming venture.

Looking at the picture in the auction makes me question what is there. The seller says there are 4,000 sets. So each state would have 100 rolls or 2 bank boxes(And assuming each bag in the photo is $1,000 face). Well each box in the picture only has 48 rolls!

I think he mentions that when the picture was taken 2 rolls had been removed from each box.

But he did say that the missing rolls in the pic would be included. I wouldn't personally bid on them but somebody already did and on ebay it's a legally binding contract, whatever that's worth. I've been ripped off on ebay as a seller before and don't like to use it but sometimes it's just like having to go to Wal-mart because that's all there is. At least for coins we have CC and can skip the ripoffs of ebay. My stepdaughter asked me last night why the next door neighbors would leave there puppy out in the rain and snow all day yesterday and had to tell her that there are mean people in the world and unfortunately that's just the way it is.
Rest in Peace
