I bought from a reputable local dealer with 30 day return privileges so not too worried about it being counterfeit. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't cleaned and verify the surfaces had no marks.

i agree with the light dip however I don't think it would details the coin. its actually a nice example. I'm with coinfrog, unless the glare is hiding it I can't see any wear. this is one I would be inclined to slab as it could come back in an MS holder.
remember to always take the coin out of the holder for a more accurate assessment. if you can take new photos and take the coin out the holder i'd love to see what she looks like as there is just too much shadowing and glare on these to know for sure.

I like that the hair over the ear is struck up, as it looks flat in so many of the 21s even in unc. The obverse photo looks lifeless compared to the reverse which shows luster. Better photos would be helpful. Agree it looks like a slightly overdipped Unc but may change my mind with better photos.

Luster is pretty good on both sides, has full cartwheel, but it's just a bit duller than the 63 I have in a slab.

Exceptionally strong strike for a '21 Peace. Looks like uncirculated detail with no visible hairlines, scratches, or other damage. Unless a TPG decides it has an "altered surface" defect I would expect it to slab problem-free. I wouldn't object to MS-63. Very nice coin! |

using these photos i'd like to know where anyone calling this AU is seeing wear on the coin. glare is a factor though. the only thing I can see is some luster missing (rub) on the left field of the reverse. if that was wear from circulation I would expect that the higher devices would show something and I'm just not seeing it. just curious if I'm missing something.

The Hair on the Obverse has high point wear. I doubt this coin circulated but it rubbed on something. Also the reverse there is some loose of detail on the feathers. |

The gif is very helpful, thanks. It looks much better. From the moving image there seems to be a vertical luster break north-south on the cheek. It may be a sliding contact mark. Looks very attractive. 62-63 is my guess.
