Personally I view them as a continuation of their respected series. But, as there was no commemorative dollars issued in 2023 I have added the proof Morgan and Peace dollars to my commemorative set to keep the years current. Additionally I have applied some of the moderns Morgan's to my date set. 2021, 2023 reside in their new page added to the Danisco album and I have upgraded the Denver and SanFrancisco coins to show the reverse mint marks. a new page also has been added to my Peace dollar album.

They are not commemoratives - read the legislation. Commemoratives are limited to two per year. These coins commemorate the 1921 Morgan and Peace dollars. Yeah. Both answers

I could not vote, because to me, they are neither. "Commemoratives" have a narrow definition in US coinage, and these coins do not fit that definition, as noted by others above. The 2023 coins, in particular, do not "commemorate" anything, as 2023 is not a significant anniversary-date in either the Morgan or Peace series. To be a "continuation of the series", it would require re-usage of the same dies. These are made form entirely new, created-from-scratch dies. As such, they are more like "restrikes" or "novodels" - coins made in the modern day that are replicating classic coinage designs - rather than a direct continuation.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

They're getting to be High Mintage junk at this point and the US mint is coining so many that they really aren't that collectable with the exception of the 2021's.

A chance to get a high MS business? strike, but I would need to wait patiently for some years to get closer to the silver price, at a time when they should be much more numerous.
Other than business? strike, I am not too interested, because I am not a bright 'n shiny NCLT collector.
I am a little different. I collect coins that have actually circulated as legal tender, or at least have that status, but not circulated.

At this point, I'm not sure what the point is of buying the 2024s. They're expensive and high mintage.

In the light of Sap's comments, of which I entirely agree, I think the current Morgan and Peace dollars are too expensive.
