Nice coin. Unfortunately has what appears to be somewhat fresh dings on the reverse--right wheat stalk and rim.

Nice coin, but definitely not worth getting it graded, by a TPG. Errers and Varietys.

you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than to find a coin in circulation that has a value that would warrant grading fee's. just keep searching to fill in the empty holes
it doesn't make sense unless a coin is worth $150 or more. most seasoned collectors don't even slab their coins due to the cost. you could expect to spend a minimum of $18 (economy grading) plus shipping/insurance per coin each way plus a subscription to a grading service. For instance PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription other subscription levels include grading vouchers though so you could reduce these costs. As you can see it really is not worth grading any average coin

I appreciate all the help and advice and tips I am learning here. I obtained 1500+ of these wheat back pennies along with some other coins that were out of a collection from a friend. I admit I google any year coin I have and it just gives a huge range of prices and where the coins are listed for sale, ie: ebay, mercari, Etsy and so on. I've seen coins I have here listed on those sites from 1.00- 10,000 dollars lol, and I understand common sense and realistic values are somewhere in between those figures. That's why I joined this awesome forum to gain the knowledge and real truth on coins and values. I am gaining a ton of knowledge each day listing and looking at all the topics on coins here and I appreciate all you guys help. I will learn and see what is worth a lot and what's not, this is an amazing hobby and I am enjoying it very much. Thank you all again!! |
