Please post a full image of both the obverse and reverse.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

@dea, first welcome to CCF. Second, many of the areas of interest that you have highlighted look like light circulation marks to me. For example, you first pic quite clearly shows an impact between the reeded edge of another quarter and the field of this one.

Yes I see that now but what about the other marks that are clearly mint marks like the one going through Liberty and the mouth and the one on united

It's hard to tell from these images, but generally, if the marks are incuse (recessed) it is PSD (Post Strike Damage). Especially if the incuse marks are on top of a device. If the marks are raised, especially around the mouth, these can be die chips.

I agree with all above. Look real close at those marks and see the metal pushed away like a meteor hitting the ground and the dirt is pushed away. That is a clear sign of damage.

Yep, with the above... We have a favorite word around here called paridolia which is the phenomenon where we see something that is not really there.

DeathRavin A number of light hits on this coin. PMD I suspect. Perhaps coin hitting coin.
