Very nice. Did you find an attribution number for it? John1

Brand. Really nice find. Looks like obverse got hit twice each a little off. In front of the eye/brow the M does line up twice. In back of the head the O really stands out. Down by the ribbon the roof looks like it hit twice. There's more in front of the face. I did an overlay with one of the strikes. If you would like I'll add it. I was going to send just the one but sorry I like fading the picture. The first one is your original. Check out just in front of the forehead you can barely see the bottom of F of FIVE. Both obverse and reverse really cool clashes.

First thing I checked. MDC lists no typical or atypical clashes for 1988-D 5c.

Quote: If you would like I'll add it. Definitely! I had also noticed that on the reverse, it looked like it might have been hit twice on the left edge. There is a mark north of the T in Trust that might correspond to the E or D in United (or possibly the gap between them). There is a line near the S in States as well. It must have been quite a collision.

Rob, I like the multiple levels of transparency on the overlay. Makes it easier to locate the clash features on the coin.

Very Nice! I keep hoping to find a good strong clash like that! The polishers always seem to ruin them
