Note the bite out of George's coif below VI
There are other markers as well but this is dead easy.
This seller has sold and has for sale a number of fake dollars, some with the usual "fat L" marker and some with the obverse marker as in the pic.
Are-These-Ebay-1948-Dollars-Fake?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

The bag marks and non-proof strike on his 1967 "Proof 68" $20 gold are ridiculous also.

Not a '48, but here's a fat L counterfeit dollar recently offered by the same seller.
This seller has sold thousands of dollars worth of counterfeit coins in the last month

Surprisingly, this buyer gave him neutral feedback even though this was the comment:

"The $3 gold coin had no gold. 61.6-Cu, 31.7-Zn, .8-W, .1-Fe. Mostly copper and Zinc. Was not accurately described."
