According to CoinWorld.com, they say they stopped in 1990.

Possibly the last batch in 1990 where they stopped perhaps?

Not seen it as an RPM , but after reading some articles of CoinWorld.com it's posible to have rpm since the 1989 apply only for cents and nickels the rest would have stop in October 1990 the end of the fiscal year . I was surprised

Thanks uruman. That's what I read. It just looked like one to me because of how the top left corner of the D looks and the inside slightly.

Now here is one I pulled from Variety Vista with similar hallmarks as the one I have. They may be in different positions, but the outside and inside of the D is extremely similar.

Similar is not confirmation - has to be exact as they were struck with the same die.

Well yes, of course. Nothing is for certain unless verified. That is why I am here sharing so that all go throw in their 2 cents.

There's usually die markers posted with each variety. Not always but the majority are noted.

If the markers match up then you have your identification.

Since it's a 1990,variety vista doesn't have a listing for it. With the information brought to light by this post from CoinWorld.com that it is entirely possible to have a dime in 1990 with an rpm. I have searched different avenues and there is no known example for this year. Not sure how I would find markers because of this fact.

rbaker20, outside of cents, I have heard there are RPM's beyond 1989 (did not know the nickels were included in the 89 stop). That being said, I have little or no information to give you about this. There is evidence in your pics that this is nothing more than Machine Doubling. The pics could be better to tell for sure, but I have marked up one of your pics to show you what I mean. When you have different devices showing movement in the same direction, it is usually MD and the mm looks smaller than it should if you take away the doubling, which is another symptom of MD. The inside of the ear may be from lighting but the area I have marked up in the upper ear, I do not believe is from lighting, just MD. See what you think.
