Was hoping see a direct, end-on (not vertical) pic of the rim. No matter at this point.

John1, I could only hope it's a 1992. It has a Close AM. That would be a woohoo in my book. Lol. I'm leaning towards a 1994. The weight is in normal range. It's got my curiosity going though. Thanks everyone.

ijn1944. It took me a minute because my wife made dinner. Anyway, here is a straight on shot of the rim.

I do not think it is a cloth issue. Use the search box upper left of page for info and pics of a struck through cloth. John1

So, I am so not an errors person but am trying to learn. That being said, I just wanted to point out something I noticed on the coin. On opposite sides of the coin, and opposing edges of the rims, there looks to be "finning". Not sure if this points to what may have helped with the weak strike or maybe the possible struck through was the cause of this, but it just caught my attention. A marked up pic of the OP's coin below.

I'm thinking it's a nice Grease Filled Die strike with the equivalent of collar clash on the rims. Because the collar is smooth, it presents itself as a slightly doubled rim. The slight shift of the dies has allowed the 'second rim' from the collar clash to be visible on this strike. This is only a guess on my part from looking at many Grease Filled Die strikes and lots of coins with collar clash. I could be totally wrong on the cause of the rim anomaly. Restriction apply, your milage may vary, cooking times are approximate.

Hi Yokozuma. I appreciate your feedback and wanted to touch base with you about the cooking time issue. I did keep a watchful eye on it but on the other hand, I do know that a watched pot never boils. Anyway, thanks again. What do you know...my popcorn is ready. P.S. I appreciate the humor.

I am really confident that this is a 1994 LMC.
