Quick update on the infamous Kennedy half. Now resides in windowsill in a holder that produced wicked toning on its orginal occupant.

I think I see a faint glimmer of toning wishful maybe.
I will post updates in a couple of months. Hopefully we see a nice bullseye toning in the making. As a great man said " 60 percent of the time, it works every time"

Well quick update, must have been residing in the windowsill for 6 months now.
But its winter here so cold and no sun.
Well maybe some golden toning

Fascinating results. On the matter of acetone soak times, I had one late 60s clad quarter a while back seemingly caked in dried marker ink. It took a long week of soaking to fully remove the offending crud. Perhaps 20% was reduced the first several minutes--took days to get the rest.

Thank you Ijn next time I shall try a week long soak for a coin in need.
Yes must be some weird chems in that old holder my kennedy rests in.
Alot of them swedish commems from the 1980s rests in similar type and alot of them show wicked toning.
The hole is alittle bit to big for the Kennedy I wonder if it have any effect on the toning. The other coin was sitting tight
Its ducktape on the holder, I cracked it messing with it

I expect to see spectacular toning
Perhaps the soapbox has already released al its chemicals

Try putting the coin and holder in a humid area for a while.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I can appreciate toning. Sometimes I need a few looks before I really appreciate it.

FWIW, the reverse wins it.
