1943 D Lincoln Cent Weight Error?

Yes, the photos seem to hint at replating. Please post full large and sharp pics of just the coin. Include and end-on close-in pic of the rim. Thanks.

2.7 grams is normal. Plating made have added to it.

2.95 grams is closer to 2.7 grams of steel than it is to 3.11 grams of copper.

Looks reprocessed. That plated could of added weight to your coin.

Pictures are too small. Focus on the coin itself for your photos, not the surrounding areas.

It looks like it also has a double D mint mark. It's a nice coin; this could easily pass MS64-5. I have had this coin for years.

The shiny edge is proof that you have a plated, or reprocessed, steel cent.

Unfortunately, the new photos indicate a replated cent. In my many, many years of plowing through wheat cents, I've come across a good number of replated examples.
