I just got one in change at the coke machine downstairs at the barracks I'm staying at. It is a Denver, but still I found one.

No luck on the Quarters, however my bank had lots of Tyler Dollars and Lincoln Cents, Type 2.

The Tylers are the only '09 I've been able to get from my one bank. I was able to get 2 rolls of log cabins from the other. 09's are hard to come by around here.

I have found 3 DC quarters and nothing else from '09! Where are the dimes & nickles & such?

All I have seen are Harrison and DC quarters. No Tyler or Puerto Rico or Guam so far.

Zero pennies, nickels and dimes as well.

I am in the DC area and the only 09 coins I have received in change are the DC quarters - and only 2 of those. I hope to see the new pennies soon, but I would not be surprised if it takes several more months.

Yes, this and the DC quarters will pay dividends. I have responded to adds in Coin World and asked why they were willing to pay for more than face and postage. The sellers and shops are banking on this coin. So for face, I am buying all rolls I can afford. I will also be sending out some for profit, but right now I am looking out for myself. As far as pennies go, they are harder to find, but I think this is changing. See my topic under "Lincoln pennies" in another forum, as in Savannah, Ga. I am finding them in the need a penny dishes at the registers. Go figure, others are paying $2 a piece and in Ga. they give them away!!

I haven't had trouble finding rolls of Tylers; Guams aren't available yet (probably another couple of weeks) and nobody's got 09 dimes or nickles.

The Guam Quarters are already finished with production, and they are significantly lower mintage than the Puerto Rico. Have a look here.

The Guam-D mintage is slightly less than half of the Puerto Rico-D mintage! (also shown here) The Denver Mint produced the Guams early in May (I saw them being pressed on a Mint tour), and production was most likely finished by their 'release date' on May 26th. I bought five rolls of them from the Denver Mint (in person) on May 29th. The 'release date' is also when the Mints start shipping the coins to the Federal Reserve for general circulation distribution.

Of course, I saw that the Guam production was low-mintage and 'already finished' the day after I spent one roll of them to buy a fast food lunch...

I do make an effort to spend some of the coins I get from the Denver Mint. I spent five rolls each of the DC's and Puerto Rico's, at least ten rolls of the 2009-D Native American dollars, and (so far) one roll of the John Tyler Dollars.

So far besides a few strays I have managed to get 15 PR rolls and 12 DC rolls. They are out there at face!

So far, the Guam-D is the lowest mintage business strike Clad Quarter
variety, from 1965 to date!

Keep an eye on the next three!
2009 Quarter Release Schedule

American Samoa = July 27, 2009
U.S. Virgin Islands = September 28, 2009
Northern Mariana Islands = November 30, 2009

I wonder if one of these will 'beat' the 1962 Philadelphia Quarter
mintage (36,156,000).

I've not seen anything here in Oklahoma but a few of the new cents. I asked the teller at the bank we go to if they had any new clad and she said no. Not sure why of the low mintages but what can you do?
