I can't tell if these three 50c coins are " Greaser" or just PMD.
The 1978 obverse has the rim and bust intact but the lettering is barely visible. It has seen a lot of circulation but the difference between the lettering and the rest of the detail suggests to me that this one is a " Greaser".
The 1980 I have posted before in another thread. Both sides have missing detail in the same area. However the "AUST" is still just visible and some of the rim is still there. Not sure about this one.
The 2006 coin has had something happen to part of the shield. Some of the detail is still faintly visible and I don't see anything that suggests an impact was responsible for what we see. The rest of the coin is in reasonable condition so I am inclined to think that the wear and tear of circulation was not responsible for the missing details. I think this one might be a " Greaser" too. Anyway, I like them so they are in with the "odds and sods" too.
