Not the most inspired design, IMO. Still, a $5 commemorative is a $5 commemorative. Almost everything looks good in gold.

I think there are some really under-appreciated designs among the modern half eagles. The Civil War, FDR, and NPS coins stand out to me, as does the reverse of the Olympic Stadium coin.
