Just can't really see it in the supplied pictures. Can you at least outline what you are seeing?

We would need full photos of the obverse and reverse. Unfortunately, I don't see what you're seeing. It is extremely unlikely that the coin is an 1873 proof-only issue. PCGS hasn't graded any lower than VG-8, and your example would probably be P-01 if the date is even identifiable. Also, the 3 on a genuine 1873 is not located where you have indicated on your photo. Here is a photo from PCGS showing the date positions:

Yes, it is unlikely. But the 3 is where it is supposed to be. I measured it in the past.

Faint features like that sometimes show up well with axial lighting.
I think a full image of the coin face would be useful here. Zooming in to such a tiny area can obscure the features you are trying to capture.

What about "Side Lighting" the coin. Like they do to with paper money to see if it was washed or wrinkled. Lay a UV (or bright LED) flashlight down to shine across the coin - it may bring out some details.

The photos need to be taken with the coin out of the holder as the reflections are preventing me from seeing a die markers I need to see, especially the UNITED on the reverse.
Try again with the coin out of the holder, thanks.
