Very nice looking coins!

I may be seeing things but the reverse of the 59D looks odd to me, maybe extra thickness in all the letters, especially FG and EPU. The EPU may be a trail die and not a doubled die and it could just be me.

Here is a pic of what I'm seeing and sometimes it's just distortion in the actual picture and nothing actually there, it just caught my eye. Can't help it.

very nice coins srs! - too bad the 82s weren't copper and small dates.
the first one looks like a copper - but is a large date. And the 2nd IS a small date but looks like a zincoin

The small date/ large date difference, I can see. But what do I look for to tell copper from zinc?

Usually just look at the fields - coppers have nice smooth fields while the Copper plated zincs have zinc dust under the plating making it looks like little bubbles on the surface.

CPZ cent.

Thanks everyone. The first 82-D is copper and the second one is zinc.
