I don't know what the front of the case looks like, but based on the picture above, it looks like the US Mint just repositioned the professional year and formative year coins.
On the 2 Proof Sets that I have (Silver and Silver Clad) the Professional Years cent is on the left and the Formative Year cent is on the right.(Reverse side of the coins).
No other difference except the prices that I can see.

at $7.95 plus $4.00 that will mean that the guys on ebay will have to give free shipping or lower the price a buck or two. maybe even more as the sets they send you have been checked for high grade coins and the sets from the mint have not. so I would save the $1.00 and take my chance with the mint. maybe get a few higher grades. at least I know they will not be cherry picked yet

Hope to maybe catch lightning in a bottle and maybe one of the sets has a DDO or DDR that no way you would get from buying of off E-Bay etc.!

Quote: Whats the difference between the above and the set that came in the 2009 proof set? Nothing. Just an opportunity for those that do not want to buy the entire proof set to get the Lincolns. It is just like the Statehood Quarters being offered as standalone sets.

No hurry, they will sell these until there's no more orders I'm sure. The bringing back of the LP2 is just plain greedy and it's destroying and collector value. We'll see LP2 sets for $2 with free shipping in a couple years.

I was worried......(still am) that the "Special Lincoln Set" (the one containing four proof Lincolns and the Lincoln Silver Dollar) plans may have been thrown in the garbage.....and that it is being replaced with this Set......meaning no "Special Lincoln Set". Anybody else have this fear that the Mint has completely scrapped and done away with plans for this Set ? There are only four more months left in the year ! You'd think it would be put back on the "schedule for release" very soon......if they're going to do it. It would be fun to see a strict mintage of 50,000 get nuts on ebay.....(and I'd like to have one !)....but will I even get the opportunity ? ... Anyway........it's "that" Set that "I" was waiting for...... ..still waitin'.........

Apparently, a significant number of people cancelled their LP2 orders when they figured out that those rolls were not so limited like LP1. The Mint didn't just create some new rolls to sell, they were reserved for sale and then cancelled or returned. The remaining LP2s probably won't last more than a week or so.

I'll bet they deliberately make an error or something in these. I won't be buying it, I already got the full set of proofs because I needed the territory quarters. I didn't seriously collect Lincoln cents or State Quarters. Except for a type set of small cents, I needed the 2009 series. I have a BU 1909 and BU set of 1943 Steels and a cameo proof something Wheat cent. First and last years 1958 Wheat. 1959 Memorial copper a cameo proof copper, 1982 Copper 1982 Zinc, Zinc cameo proof, 2008 Memorial and now these 20 Lincolns come along for 2009. A new design in 2010. That will be 5 coins. Then all I have to do is wait til they are done with them and get that year. The territory quarters are 6 proofs and 12 business strikes and 12 satins. 30 crazy quarters and 20 crazy Lincolns and 5 crazy nickels. Did I forget the SILVER PROOF SET Territory quarters? Add six more. I only bit on the territory quarters because they are much lower in mintage's than the State Quarters and well, some kind members sent me some BU examples of the D mints I would never find around here. Just to keep things going. The mint knows exactly what they are doing. Making money. They are going to kill the goose that lays them golden eggs.

I was really disapointed when they passed the national parks quarter legislaation, complete overkill if you ask me. It's like what happened to canadian coinage, but here in the US instead. Complete luncacy. -XoG

Well one thing about the canadian coinage, at least with the quarters the regular design is available in the uncirculated sets while the commemorative olympic quarters are in circulation. The US Mint is flawed in that respect. They should follow Canada's lead and issues commemorative sets and the regular circulation designs in separate sets.
