I like the idea of a bust design. That would make me buy it.

My vote would go for recycling the Peace dollar for a new silver bullion coin, it's one of my favorite coins. Wouldn't it look GREAT in proof! John1

If it would look like the 2010 cent design I would say don't.

What a great post! Hearing everyone's ideas (even if it doesn't ever happen...) is really fun. I always love hearing new ideas.
edited for terrible spelling...

IMO... (1) they obviously don't care about collector's too much; and (2) the U.S. Govt could never put together something new (a recycled idea even) in less than a year.
Although it is fun to dream... I would prefer something new, but keeping with an allegorical figure.

Wouldn't it look GREAT in proof! in my opinion there is nothing that would make the Peace design look good. I know some people like these things but I can't seem to figure out why, to me its the ugliest coin design from any country ever minted. I could live with any other design recycled except this one, and if they were to recycle the peace design for any other coinage I would definitely be leaving that particular US coin out of my collection. I started to even leave the hole in my 7070 album because of my feelings about the design and probably would have if my Grandfather hadn't given me a few of them from his collection

I do admit the obverse is not the best, but the reverse on a Peace dollar is what I like

I have a sentimental attachment to the Peace dollar because it was the dollar minted the year my Grandfather was born (1922). I have two 1922 Peace dollars -- one of them he gave me -- and I have no plans to ever part with them. As for the original topic, I do not collect the ASE (I only have the one for my 7070). But isn't the real problem that the ASE albums have a 2009 labeled hole already?

What? I am just stating my opinion. I know some people like them (and everyone has the choice to collect what they like no matter what anyone else says about them). I guess there are just as many people that wonder why I liked the Morgan series so much also but the design on the Peace dollar doesn't appeal to me one little bit. I will say I like the feeling of it ( I guess you could say heft of it) but the design makes me queasy on my stomach to look at for some reason

I would be game for them ending it and putting a seated or Trade dollar on there.

How about a 25th anniversary ASE with the complete morgan design both obv. and reverse.
