Is that JFK on the 1973 penny?

Yes it's Kennedy. Those were widely available during the mid 70's
attached to a list of "coincedences" in the lives of Lincoln and JFK.
(I got mine from a gum machine as well as the Liberty Bell and USA counterstamp shown by a different poster for a quarter each). Interesting enough I found a Kennedy half with a counterstamp of Lincoln not long ago roll searching. I gather it must have been sold with a list of coincedences also as it had very old glue stuck to the reverse. The cents with the states counterstamped on them were sold as a set. I was given one back in the mid 70's.

I have a coin from Brazil that has a counter stamp. It is a 80 reis dated 1832 and counter stamped with a 40 that changed the value. Interesting that this method was used to change coin values in the early 1800's.
Interesting coin with much of the background provided CCF Moderator Sap.

I tried to unload a image but haven't mastered the process. Not a very good image anyway.

Ratman, I have seen a similar JFK in the past...for some reason I really like that one...it's like the two faces are looking at each other!

Here's a Half Cent counterstamped with G.F. on the obverse and W.W. on the reverse.

These are really cool. I found them searching. I was amazed that I found TWO of them in the same handful!

Chuckster, looks like a crude version of the natural bridge. Honestly, I grew up in VA and would really like to see a 1985 version of that stamp. Not my birth year, but a significant year for me growing up in the blue ridge mountains.

Thad, any chance that has to do with Masonic lodges or any of those "clubs"? That stamp looks familiar...and do my eyes decieve me or is the stamp raised with the strike coming from the other side? (vs the strike side making the stamp leaving the other side mostly intact)

Yea, that's a Masonic stamp for sure. It's raised up from punching the reverse very hard.
