Quote: If your putting yours in Albums, are there slots for the 42/41 and 42D/41 and 45Micro S in the Mercury Set? No, my Mercury album is a custom Dansco (two undated Dime pages) and I do not collect over-dates or other varieties. Quote: Also, does your Lincoln set include the 22 plain, 55 double die, 72 double Die, 95 double die? Yes, no, no, and no. The 1922-D Plain bugs me most and it one of the three that I need. Quote: Are you planning on putting all 20 different 2009 Lincoln Cents in your set? 20 different ones for 2009 is a little nutty but that's how many there are and 4 are proofs too. Not for this album. I deliberately decided that this will be a Wheat and Memorial collection only. My albums, my rules!

If anyone wants a nice Franklin set check the Buy/sell. Shameless advertising.

5 of my Whitman Classic Albums for Lincoln Cents now have 10 pages in them due to all those proofs, error coins, large and small dates. Then there is those nutty 1982's and now with 20 different 2009's, the cover seams are starting to burst. I have 5 other Lincoln Albums but have sort of done what jbuck does. I make my own. Two start with Flying Eagle cents, then Indian cents, then all the Lincoln Cents to date. No error coins, no large and small dates, no proofs. Another two are all Lincoln Cents but again, no error ones but there are proofs. Last one is just all Lincoln Cents with no proofs, no errors. Nice thing about Whitman Albums is you can purchase those rub on dates/letters/number sheets form them and post whatever you want under the coins and/on the cover pages. With those they look almost professional. Glad Whitman no makes their Albums with removable pages and also sells blanks. I know Dansco does too but always wondered about some of the other manufacturers.

The pages do look interesting when full. All coins, no text; like looking at reverse side.

Not sure how they would look on a brownish colored page but you might want to try them. Unfortunately Whitman sells them for about $5 something a sheet. At coin stores I've seen those press on letters/numbers in that Gold look for a lot less. So far haven't seen them at coin shows for a long time. I just ordered a few pages of them from Whitman and they also sent me a free book about the State Quarters and no postage. However, the price for one of those sheets of press ons is really high.

Quote: They make them in black also Now that is interesting. I might have to consider it, although I have gotten used to their not being dates on this pages. Decisions, decisions!

Capped Bust Halfs, and all the Seated Liberty's series. (Halfs first, then dimes, then quarters). All Draped things are a bit out of my league... For now... And upgrades to everything I already have when I see them.

Now that this comes up I do remember seeing them in Black. I ignored them since I use Whitman and the black would not be noticable on the dark blue. I'll have to check out those at the next coin show tomorrow. I would go nuts trying to see what coin is what without that info under them. Most of my pages have been added over the years as blanks. For example the 1982 PENNIES. Without the info under them, I'd go nuts wondering which is what. Now with 20 different ones for 2009, reallllllllllly need that info under them. Those press ons are now a lot better than they used to be. Work much easier and don't come off at all.

Mostly I'm just working with my kids on their Jeffersons, Roosevelts, Lincolns. Most of the folders are getting filled up now so we might start on some quaters next.

Quote: Now with 20 different ones for 2009, reallllllllllly need that info under them. And how! What is really annoying is that Dansco just shows 2009 dates/mints repeated four times; no descriptions of the varieties (like they did for 1982). They did the same thing in 2004 and 2005 for the Westward Journey nickels. Very annoying. It might be worth it to get the extra letters just to correct these omissions (except that the nickel pages leave little room for this).
